HANA just continues to stun me, ya'll. I don't know why, but I never expected them to come out with another rap centric track, yet they did and with style! The production of the track had me jamming with the baile funk start to the trap influenced core to the rest of the track. It rocked my world with the trading verses and catchy chorus that succinctly described my journey with the group: "Who's HANA?" turning into "Where's HANA?" I need more, and so do you! So it's right here for you.

Sag Harbor - Tyler, the Creator
If there's one thing Tyler is going to do, it's drop some heat out of the blue. He did it again to cap off the year with an ill track that has him reflecting on the successful year that he's had along with the bit of controversy he's faced with some of his fan base. It's amazing how he's grown into an artist that can float between these topics with ease and pizazz. The beat, the lyrics, and the flows just captivate you and leave you wanting more. Therefore, I'll be jamming this right beside the album, Don't Tap the Glass for quite some time. Care to join me?

Why is Gachiakuta So Black? - Meanie Mosey
Gachiakuta is a newer anime that has been released that I've enjoyed quite heavily during the Fall 2025 season. The action, style, and characters have been something that have piqued my interest with each episode. Though, it wasn't long until I started to realize that there's a lot of others that have been feeling similarly and that the trend is that they're my complexion. This video was one of the few that I feel kind of goes into some of the features of the show (especially when watching it dubbed) that attracts black anime fans to this series. Though, I also just have to give respect to the creator for also honoring some of our culture that inspired parts of the franchise. What do you think?
Keeping with new tradition of 2020, 2021, and 2022, I'm excited to present to you my last.fm music stats for 2023! While 2022's stats were greatly influenced by my "research" for Miko's Music Connection, last year was dominated by my thirst for Korean hip-hop as there was quite an uptick of Korean rappers touring America.
This is a cool little discussion about the slow rise to fame Sabrina Carpenter experienced versus the more overnight success many strive for. As a fan of Sabrina, this little look back at her music career was very neat. With the rise of opportunities for fame, there's a lot of thought that should be put into how the expediting of exposure can be more hurtful than helpful. This look into Miss Carpenter's case is a great example of how the steady grind can be more beneficial. Give it a watch!
Dissecting MF DOOM's "Mm...Food" - Digging the Greats
More greatness from this channel!! MF DOOM is a rapper's rapper, but also a phenomenal producer. This project really got to show us a bit of all of that paired with his unlimited creativity. So how do you break down such a project? Well, you take its presentation and morph it into its analysis. That's exactly what this fun video does, and it's quite the enjoyable experience. Check it out!

It's First Take. It's XG. It's amazing. Need I say more?
Scarface - Tiny Desk NPR Music
It's Tiny Desk. It's Scarface. It's artistry. What more can I say?
It's always a pleasure to see the interviews of producers and top-liners from ReacttotheK. They ask such great questions for insight. The second part of this particular interview is no exception. Getting a good look into the different styles & perspectives of each member of the collective was really interesting. Especially for a producer like myself. Maybe it'll be a great watch for you, as well!

B-List - Chanmina
Ever since Miko introduced Chanmina to me, I've been a fan of her and her style. She got to show her playful side, once again with this particular video and I just had to share it with you all. Give it a quick watch and enjoy the fun concept and spectacular music. You won't regret it!

New DNA - XG
The entire EP is phenomenal, but the above music video, "Puppet Show" I figured I would share in tandem with this release. The music throughout the project cover many different moods and styles, but cohesively exude the XG attitude since debut. The visuals for their music have continued to get more and more epic and this was the epitome of the era. If you've been hesitant to jump onto the XG train, then I suggest you try this track out to lead into the album if it hits you right. ENJOY!!!
