It's summertime and I always find good dance music to be the staple of the season (along with Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff's "Summertime"). I have no idea how I came across this. Probably exploring last.fm recommendations, but the message of this video and the song is just amazing and worth thinking about. I seriously want this group at A-Kon, RIGHT NOW! Yes, the girls are back and rocking my socks off once again...if I was wearing any. SU-METAL's voice is gorgeous and the musical composition is high energy with a mix of traditional. The visuals have a nice balance of what the sound gives our ears. I really don't want this group to break up after SU-METAL's graduation, I believe, nor do I want her to be replaced. Just let her keep rocking alongside YUIMETAL & MOAMETAL!



"Wild" by Nine Muses
Ever since "News", I've jumped on the Nine Muses bandwagon. This is what SNSD should aim for when it comes to sexy concepts. It's mature, classy, and sensual. I'm a sucker for black, white, and red tones in videos, especially when done right. The choreography is on point, the vocals are great, and the members are utilized well. My only problem with the song is the weird music detour during the rap, but otherwise this song is just as good as the last.



"Would You?" by Swings feat. Seo In Guk
Korean rap has been so good to me lately and this song is one piece of evidence to support that statement. This is a different route for Swings with this smooth R&B melody and a great vocal collaboration by an artist I feel is underrated in the kpop scene. I love the story for this video and the silly, sweet vibe of the concept. Keep bringing the hits, Swings!



"No More Dream" by BTS
As annoyed as I am about rookie groups entering the scene, this group isn't that bad. They're far from perfect, but something about the looping cello, I think, makes the song pretty great. It reminds me of H.O.T. I guess we have a new entrant to the Block B, B.A.P, and M.I.B genre. The scenery matches the concept and their appearance matches them for the most part. I'm looking forward to listening to their other songs.

"HIGH FIVE!!" by ROACH
It's always exciting seeing new things from this band. They have been consistently awesome and growing. They try new things, but keep their roots in tact. I love Taama's voice and the fun energy the members bring to the video. It's a great summer track, even though summer is mostly over. I like the outdoor atmosphere since you don't see this kind of scenery in jrock videos. It reminds of me of Pay money To my Pain's "Out of my hands" when they did everything outside and interacted with the environment. This is how you utilize your scenery, kpop.



"IDOL is DEAD" by BiS
Looking at the name, all I could think of was the disbanded jrock band and totally forgot about these jpop girls. I think this video is a continuation of the earlier PV release of "IDOL". I was a little confused by it like BABYMETAL. The vocals aren't as fluid or comprehensive, but the whole concept is intriguing. I like the dark imagery, chaos, and aggressive vocals. I guess those old businessmen are enjoying these cutesy jpop girls using these heavy rock/electronic elements.



"Fashion Monster" by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
Seeing a new PV from her was exciting, especially since she got some exposure on Kids React. I think she got back her catchiness that she was lacking in her last single, but I enjoy her overall body of work. Anyway, this was another clusterfuck of a PV like "PONPONPON". Sometimes it seemed like too much with the dancers, but I got used to it. I must admit though, I kept thinking of Tommy heavenly6 watching this PV, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment. Looking forward to the new release!



"Stop Girl" by U-KISS
It's kinda hard to get Supernova's version with the similar song title out of my head, but these guys did an awesome job too. I like this classy, sleek look they've been doing. The music is very deep and refreshing for the guys. They seem a little more relaxed in this video and I really appreciate the maturity of their appearance and the content of this song. Although, I'm kinda tired of the awkward one sided hair thing. I hope they continue in this direction and include female dancers. Miss you, AJ~



"Take on Me" by Seo In Guk
A classic song from the iconic A-ha and a very good cover at that. I don't know how I missed this one, since I admire this guy's voice and charm. This definitely displayed both of those elements in this video. It doesn't lose the original idea from A-ha's version, but still brings something new to the table by making it more modern. Not many people can pull this song off this well.

Still feeling a little bitter about missing out on their performance, but it's comforting seeing that this talented trio is still producing amazing music and videos. It's a simple visual concept that speak volumes through the emotional lyrics and clever editing. It takes what was great about "Slippin' Away" and gives it a darker approach that clenches your heart immediately.




"만나" by Primary and the Messengers feat. Zion.T

So, I've listened to some music from Primary and Mild Beats as well as Primary Skool and you all know I adore Zion.T. Still crossing my fingers for a full release of something from him. Anyway, I saw this on my Tumblrdore and looked it up on YouTube. It's a fun little video with some feel good music and great vocals. The dancing girl(s) I could've lived without, but it's a very simple concept that anyone can pick up.




"Two Mary" by Baechigi

I don't think many people have heard of them before, but I listen to them a little bit. They get buried under my massive library, but thanks to my Facebook feed containing AllKpop spam, I saw this video to remind me of this duo's talent. The video concept is based off a retro video game and I thought it was extremely amusing, especially since I'm currently obsessed with watching gamers on YouTube lately. It's good to hear some fun, silly rap from South Korea.




"Tease Me" by Seo In Guk

Cutie Seo In Guk is back on the scene with a lovely little acoustic song that doesn't bore me to tears. It has just the right beat and his vocals are still stunning. I wish he would produce more material. The video has an interesting storyline that's mostly easy to follow and doesn't take away from the song either, which is great. It's quite annoying when they focus too much on one or the other.




"Alone" by Sistar

Not a fan of Sistar, but I gave this video a try since a friend commented on it. I really like it. It strays from their cutesy image to a sultry sexy one. Although, it does bring up thoughts that kpop girl groups just copy each other when they comeback. I might discuss this, but it's still in the thinking process. Despite it reminding me of miss A's "Touch" with a hint of 4Minute and Nine Muses, I still really like it and they made use of their Las Vegas time better than Big Bang did. Watch and learn, boys!

It's ashame that I don't listen to this band as often as I used to, but when I do, I'm never disappointed. They always turn it out and remind me why I love them so much. Their latest PV reminds me of "Alibi", but it also shows how much they've grown since then. Keep up the good work, boys~




"BLACK HOLE" by Daichi Miura
I am so anxious to jump on reviewing this album and holding it in my hand. I totally forgot there was going to be a PV for this song and omg! Flawless as ever. Daichi just can't do wrong, but I'm loving how he's experimenting with the whole dubstep thing and utilizing the sounds with the choreography. It's a very basic PV like "Delete My Memories" and "Inside Your Head", but the simplicity makes you focus more on Daichi's vocal and dance talents.




"Mr. ALIEN" by EMI MARIA
Move over Rihanna, EMI is in the house tonight! So, this video is almost 2 years old, but I just so happen to run into her on good ol' YouTube. As much as I really don't need new artists to get into right now due to maintenance, she joined the list with the other jpop girls I'm trying out for a few days. This video is very visually stimulating and her voice is a pleasant surprise. I guess Japan is keeping up with Jones'. Take that, kpop!




"Love Again" by Seo In Guk
I've been neglecting this poor, talented solo artist, but I was placing a vote for a music video this was one of the choices. It seems as though things have change for the better. Reminds me of that Craig David fella'. Usually I'm not a big fan of lovey dovey cutesy music vids, but this was pretty sweet in a non-nauseating way. I loved the little toys and the gesture to his love was admirable. Most of all, his voice was on point with the emotion of the song. I'll try not to neglect you any more.




"Star" by Jay Park
Oh, Jay, I love when you sing~ Just sing, no rapping involved. I was quite pleased with this video, especially with it following "Girl Friend", and it looks like he's releasing a new album 2012. I can't wait to hear it! Anyway, this is another sweet video, but it has less stalker, cocky feeling to it which I'm very thankful for. He still holds onto his confidence while he dances, but it's more balanced out with the endearing display with his female counterpart and his sweet voice. He should really stick to that side more sometimes.
