BM5's December 2021 Favorites
Favorite Winter Single
Doughnut - TWICE
Twice has been killing it all year with the Japanese releases. This winter single is no exception! I love the style of music so much with the laid back, city pop aesthetic. Their vocals over this production is simply immaculate and I couldn't get enough of this tune, putting it on repeat for hours. The music video itself is also very pretty and I loved the slight noir/detective concept they went with. If you're into vibing out, give this a listen if you haven't yet.
Favorite Cover Song
Ping Pong - Siyeon & Dami of Dreamcatcher
Ping Pong was a song that I quite enjoyed, but never was blown away by. Yet, what Dreamcatcher does with their covers is bring so much fun to the screen. This was absolutely the case here, as well. Hearing them trade parts back and forth just like HyunA and Dawn while still showing their own personality is a sure treat. I just had to share this bit of joy with you all!
Favorite Dance Video
What's the Use by Mac Miller - Jabbawockeez
I'm not going to say much. This song by Mac is a freaking bop and so smooth; pair that with the skills of the Jabbawockeez and there's nothing more you could ask for. Enjoy the vibes!!
Favorite Interview
J. Cole w/ Nardwuar
Have you ever seen a Nardwuar interview? If not, then you're in for a treat. Nardwuar is one of the most eccentric, yet thorough interviewers in the game and his legacy should proceed him for all time. J. Cole, on the other hand, is an extremely humble, yet intriguing emcee who definitely respects Nardwuar a great deal and allowed a great piece of content to be made. Get to know Cole just a bit more, as this is their second interview, and see how amazing connections through music, life, and people can endear you to many of artists.
